District 1
Each of Fair Lawn Fire Companies are located in and assigned one of four districts. Although we respond anywhere in town to general alarms, CO alarms, elevator emergencies, and other calls requiring an aerial device, we only respond to minor brush and mulch fires, most car fires, and alarm malfunction in our district.
 Additionally, we are usually the first due apparatus on scene in our district because of our general location. Additionally, our members who live in town all reside in district 1 so they can drive the firehouse for a call in a timely manner.
Fire District 1's is bounded to the south by Morlot Ave, the west by the Passaic River, the east by the New Jersey Transit railroad tracks, and the north by the creek located behind Westmoreland School. If you are located within our boundaries, we are your local fire company! If not, Company 2 is primarily in the northern part of town, Company 3 is primarily in the southern section of town, and Company 4 is primarily in the eastern section of town.
Our district contains mostly residential structures, some commercial structures, and a small industrial section in the north. It includes Fair Lawn High School, Memorial Middle School, Forest Elementry School, Westmoreland Elementry School, the Fair Lawn Municipal Building, the Fair Lawn Library, Memorial Pool, the Fair Lawn Rescue Squad, Shop-Rite, and the Fair Lawn Community Center.
